Here are some information and tips to make your trip Cologne as awesome as possible with some “must pack” objects right up front:

As you know, we are a Green Conference, which means that we will be providing you with drinking containers for hot and cold beverages. Therefore, there will be no need for you to buy bottles or bring one yourself. Making our CologneMUN 2018 sustainable also means that we will be limiting print-outs as much as possible. Documents such as Study Guides, Rules of Procedure and maps will not be available as hardcopies, only online and via our Conference App. CologneMUN 2018 will be a computer-based MUN, so, we highly recommend bringing your laptop and tablet to the sessions.

The dress code during the sessions of CologneMUN 2018 will be Western Business Attire (find out more here). The Brauhaus Night on Thursday will be opportunity to get to know your committee’s members in an informal setting, thus, the dress code will be Informal Attire. The dress code of the final night, the Delegates’ Ball, will be Black Tie.

Friday, June 8 is Carnival Night at CologneMUN 2018. So, don’t forget to bring your costume on your trip! If you want to have the real Cologne Carnival experience, check out this guide. A typical Kölsch costume isn’t that hard to pull of. Simply, get a few red and white clothes (think “Where’s Waldo?”) and leave your worries at home, because, as we say in Cologne: “Et hätt noch immer jot jejange!” (“It always ended up well!”) But don’t worry, if you don’t have a costume, too – we will be handing out a few Carnival Costume props at the party.
